Today's card is so fun to make with the paper piecing and Irresistibly DSP!

I stamped the images on a variety of cardstock, cut it out and overlayed onto the same area of the image stamped on neutral cardstock.

Some Masculine cards this week....

Oops... I missed "Manly Monday" ... so lets make the whole week masculine cards...  

Starting with this great design from the Urban Underground Suite!   I used the hexagon shape from the Build It framelits (143230) to create the funky background.   I just love how well the watercolouring worked on the handle of the saw.  I used Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate!

New stencils

A different way to 'distress' cardstock for your projects is with stenciling!  The Holiday catalogue has a set of new Seasonal Decorative Masks (stencils) that work any time of the year.   I especially like the paisley pattern and used it on this card.

With sponge and ink I 'distressed' through the stencil in 3 different colours: Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder and Peekaboo Peach.

Welcome to "Manly Monday" and I've used The Open Sea - a 'must-have' stamp set that everyone should have in their collection for masculine cards!

I've used our Color Me Irresistible DSP as the background and this piece (Mint Macaron) had water droplets -- so perfect for the sea!

Heat embossing with decorative mask/stencil...

While at the cottage I had a chance to peruse some crafting magazines and saw this cool technique.   Use a decorative mask/stencil, Versamark ink and embossing powder to create a unique background design.

It was one of those ....WOW... moments when I finished the card and thought "man, I love this card and how it turned out"!    

It looks so much better in real life.... my photography skills don't do it justice.
