SSU57 - Looking outside the box!

Welcome to "Saturday Step Up" where I'm using a stamp designed for valentine's for another card type.

Remember...you can always remove the words on any stamp (mask off with tape) and use it for another use than initially intended.

I stepped up the left card by totally embossing the surface in Iridescent Ice embossing powder to make it glittery. (see enlarged image below) I also embossed the main card front and added ribbon.

I used on these cards:

  • "Hey, Valentine" stamp set
  • "A Dozen Thoughts" stamp set
  • Stampin' Write Markers
  • Iridescent Ice embossing powder
  • Chevron embossing folder
  • cotton ribbon
  • rhinestones
Have a great day!

Get well wishes!

Today's card was a 'get well wishes' and 'thinking of you' combined for our friend who's going through cancer treatment.

You'll notice I masked the stamp to only print 4 characters: me, Gerry, Colleen & Laura!

Guess which one is me???

I used:

  • "From the Herd" stamp set (w-138831,c-138834,ph-137162)
  • Watercolour paper (122959
  • Aqua painters (103954)
  • Candy Dots
  • Modern Label punch (119849)
  • Chevron embossing folder (127749)
  • Chevron ribbon, seam binding ribbon, quilted cotton ribbon

Enjoy your day and your blessing of good health!

SSU50 - A tidy small gift bag for that tiny gift...

Today for "Saturday Step Up!" I've created some neat muslin gift bags.

I stepped up the left bag by embossing the Island Indigo mat, adding more stamping to the muslin bag and replacing the cord with Mossy Meadow ribbon.

I used:
  • "By the Tide" stamp set (w-131910, c-129120)
  • "Petite Pairs" stamp set (w-128706, c-122497)
  • muslin bags (132180)
  • Labels framelits (125598)
  • Chevron embossing folder (127749)
  • Essential Hardware Clips (129964)
  • 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon
Thanks for joining me today for "Saturday Step Up!".
Have a super weekend and next week I'll post the banner I've made for my daughter Colleen's new bedroom at school!
