Here's a fancy fold Birthday card!

While creating cards for a class yesterday I searched through my flipchart booklet of fancy folds and "ping".... the Side Easel jumped out!

Hopes for a child....

No matter how much technology exists today, my daughter looks in that mailbox everyday for a card from Mum!!

I always love to send one with little things tucked inside.  Here's a message meant for retirement but I think it works well for a young adult planning their life....

A Cutie Pie

This stamp set brings such a smile every time I see it!!   In my last demo order I splurged and bought it since I've wanted it for a while.

I made the front of the card only 3 1/4" so the back can could show with a different DSP!  
Try it on your next card.

I also popped up the bear and flower after stamping on another piece of cardstock and cutting out.

I've been MIA for a few days, spending fun time with my family over the Canada Day holiday!  We visited with my niece and her family and her kids are just so adorable!

A new technique ....!

At last week's Jammin' Community Meeting, I learned the Pillow Top stamping technique from member Grace Alton!   Here's my card with this technique!!

Great news too....The Sheltering Tree stamp set will continue into the new 2015-2016 catalogue!!!

I created the technique with a piece of acetate, sponge dauber and ink.  Daub along the edge of the acetate on a diagonal, shift the acetate and repeat.  Then repeat on the opposite diagonal.   Try it!!!

Get well wishes!

Today's card was a 'get well wishes' and 'thinking of you' combined for our friend who's going through cancer treatment.

You'll notice I masked the stamp to only print 4 characters: me, Gerry, Colleen & Laura!

Easter colours ....

As I set about creating the final card for May's 3-3-10, I was inspired by Easter colours.

It's difficult to see but I used the technique Paint Embossing for the dots on the balloon.

I also used:
