MM163 - Wax seal technique...

Today would have been my Father's 89th birthday!   He was a wonderful Father and a very hard worker.   He was both a farmer and full-time tool and die maker supervisor!   He worked in the same factory for 47 years.... Can you imagine that??   Wow!  

So today is also "Manly Monday" and I've used a favourite and 'long standing' stamp set - Lovely As a Tree!

I first stamped a collage background and then used the oak leaf stamp and the Wax Seal technique for the focal point!

Welcome to "Manly Monday" and one of my favourite stamping techniques is available again with the new Layering Square Framelits and their scalloped edges!

A pick-me-up hello for my daugher!

Here's one of the recent cards I sent to my daughter to brighten her day!

I watercoloured the ice cream - can you guess the flavour???

Watercolour sneak peek...

This beautiful flower is part of the new stamp set "You've Got This" in the Artistic Expression section of the upcoming new catalogue.

Using Melon Mambo/Old Olive/Marina Mist inks and my aquapainter, I watercoloured the flower and background on watercolour paper.  I usually do a light 'wash' first then add more ink to create darker spots and highlights/shadows.
